Egg Stem Cells

 This future technology is so that women over 40 can have babies.?The cells are used  to slow the ticking of women's biological clocks.
What surprised me the most of this is they used rats to help them find out if it would work. Plus why would someone want another womens egg in her? You can just adopt if you want a kid in your 40's.
The possibilities for the future in this area is very likely the only problem for this is that 30 kid  have two mothers and a fathers DNA which could be confusing.

Looking at the list from 2009, technologies that were considered "emerging" back then that are now being used is the intelligent software assist.

Online Experience-Reflection

Spending a trimester in computer class, You learn so much about things. Technology is so important to today world Most kids would die without there phones. The past 5 years we didn't have all these cellphones and I pods. Still still going to keep changing in the next 5 years. i could see us having computers in every class.  There wont be as much paper needed anymore.
I use technology everyday in my life. From the time i wake up to when i fall asleep at night. My cell phone is always on me at all times and I have two computers at my house. There allow me to talk to my family and friends.  Im always typing up papers because I'm really bad at spelling so it helps me get an A on papers. Computers allow me to research things up at home when i may not have time in class.
I will always use many tools that i learn in online experience such as blogs, avatar, and i Google. They have helped me alot. I use avatars all the time because i have a PS3 and a Wii at home. I Google helps me get along my day. It has all of my plans.I will never use delicious again because I didn't get how to work it and i wouldn't see a need to use the website. Widgets don't really matter to me because i wouldn't be able to use it on Facebook.

Cyber Bully

We watched a movie that had to do with cyber bullies. This girl was bullied by the popular girls in school. then it turning to over the internet. So her best friend made an account as a guy and started the same thing. This happens to many people in the world. It starts as something in school then goes over the internet, but the person being bulled never really stands up for then selfs. They just let it happen. I feel that it should be a law in every state to not cyber bully. It has killed some kids. I have seen friends wanting to move or just go and die because of someone and nobody can do anything about it which is sad.

Voki vs. Blabberize

I used Two web sites that we created an Avatar. On Voki WE did one about yourself Which was cool because i could make the charter look just like me. The one thing i didn't like was that It was very hard to get my voice on the mic. Then again that may have been just my computer. The other website Was Blabberize.We had to create an avatar that was someone famous in history. I picked Cleopatra. I liked that all we had to do was move the mouth which is alot easy. If i had to choice a website to do an avatar it would be Blabberize :)

I read the Article  on ea and tencent to take the sims social game to china. the Sims is more concerned with individual lives and households. Instead of managing a city, the player makes sure that the physical and emotional needs of individual Sims - or simulated people - are met and works to develop each Sim’s family life and career. Sims have free will, if the user chooses to enable it, and will do things on their own if not directed by the user. So China wanted to redo the game in a year. the game is based on The Sims, the people simulation game that has sold more than 150 million copies worldwide in 20 languages. 

online safety- wrap up

In my computer class we have talked about involving online safety suck as social networking, security settings, password safety, netiquette, cyber bullying, ID Theft. The most important thing is prob cyber bullying. Its happening everyday to your peers. You wouldn't want someone bullying your friend so why sit back and let it happen to everyone else? You can usually tell when someone is being cyber bullied because they don't act like them self. they try and skip school. Some damaged things about cyber bullyed is If it turns really bad then they may kill them self or hurt someone. To help someone like this go and tell the school or a parent. Cyber bulling has to do with proper netiquette because its not kinda to make someone feel bad about them self, and Its not nice.
Another problem would have to be ID theft. Even thought you don't  use credit at this time. This is very important because someone could really miss up your plans. If someone takes your ID they can make it so you cant get a car, a apartment/house when your 18 and you really cant start a life.

Amy's choice

I watched a video about amy. She meet a guy on the internet and told her that she can have a better life then what she was at home. He found out where she lived and showed up at amys house. Then she ran away from her house. Then they found him after two days. If they wouldnt have found amy she could have been died or raped. You shouldnt talk to anyone on the internet unless you know them. You never know what could happen to you.

Netiquette

Netiquette is a  set of rule for behaving properly online. some good netiquette is Respect other people time and bandwidth, Share expert knowledge, Respect other people privacy. When you dont have good netiquette then you flame which is when someone doesnt care about other feelings and posted or messages something about you because they dont like you. Netiquette can affect many people on the internet. If people are saying things about you then your start feeling like your nothing and everyone hate you. If you are the one that is saying things about people that tells alot by your characteristic, and people dont want to get to know you.

A Socal network is a place where people go and can chat, share photos and many other thing. Some example is Twitter, and delicious.
A digital footprint is the word used to describe the trail, traces or "footprints" that people leave online.
Socal networking effects digital footprinting because people can trace you and you dont know who and your stuff you post on networks can be trace back to you.

Copyright

Copyright laws allow  you to make a copy of your own CD for your personal use. That means you may record it to a cassette tape or rip it to MP3 files. You may not, however, give this copy to another person. Some people believe that if they paid for the CD and shared it with friends then its legal. This has to do with my life because i couldnt live without music. SO i always have my friends burn me a CD. It never really corded to me that i could be fine for this. Many websites out there says "Free Download" This seems to be a good deal. I mean anything free people want. This is copyright though. That website or even you could be fine 1000$ just because you wanted to download a free music video. I never really understand the copyright law untill I read a paper about it. TMTV vs Mass prodution(Jun. 13, 2011)

The case is among TMTV and Puerto Rican artist, Sunshine Logroño. Logroño, while working with TMTV, had  a comedy show called “20 Pisos de Historia” . The show was a comedy sitcom that revolved around the lives of several residents of a Condo.after a few years, Sunshine wasnt with TMTV and joined another network. Once there, he made another sitcom, using the same actors, and pretty much the same story line and characters. they just renames the show “El Condominio”. The Court laid down a hefty judgement and a few other things. but both parties appealed.

Netherlands :)

For my project I researched netherlands. One of my favorite part about doing this country would have to be learning about there Beautiful land. My favortite place looking up was The Amsterdam Dungeon. This place was probly the coolest part of the country. One of my least favorite parts of this project was speaking infront of the class. On thing I have learned that my country is the relagion is Roman Catholic. Trying to find history about netherland was really difficult to find while researching. They are very pravite. A strong point in my presentation was the Hoge Veluwe. I know alot about this park because they have there own website. Plus i had the most pictures on this slide so you could get to look at the amzing website. A weak point in this powerpoint was trying to say the name of these places

New year

 Its 2012! I cant believe that last year went by so fast. So much has happened to me. It was a roller coster ride. I have had many up and down moments. If i could pick on thing as a high moment in 2011 it would be joining my new venturing crew. A venturing crew is under the boyscouts but it co-ed. The first week of  joining this crew out of ida we went to hocking hills. We spend the whole week up there. I swear i prob havent smiled so much in my whole life.Other high points in 2011 was getting my two pet rats (sandy and angel). Another high point is getting Bs on my exams last trimester. Some low points last year was prob the death of my cat. She got hit my a train and we found her the next day in half......
If i was given that much money this year I would prob buy a car for me when i turn 16. I have 6 more months of drivers ed untill i can drive all by myself
My goal for this year is to get all B's or high on my grade cards. Another one is to join soccer this spring. Go back into cheerleading, and try out next school year for volleyball.
